TropNet Annual Meeting 2026 – announcement
Dear TropNet members,
The organizing team of TropNet 2026 annual meeting Florian Kurth, Tilman Lingscheid and Thomas Zoller would like to invite you to Berlin and to announce dates and times of the meeting to be held at the central Campus Mitte of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
1. Meeting times & events:
Thursday May 7th
- 09:00 to 17:30 Scientific sessions
- 19:30 Meeting dinner
Friday May 8th
- 09:00-15:30 Scientific sessions
- 16:30-17:30 Visit to isolation facility for High Consequence Infectious
Diseases (HCID) at Campus Virchow-Klinik (30min. local public transport) - 19:30 Dinner (at a Berlin restaurant, on individual basis)

3. Meeting registration
If you want to attend, please register for the meeting and all associated activities using the meeting registration form until January 30, 2026:

4. Accommodation options
There is absolutely no shortage of hotels within walking distance to the meeting venue. We have listed some hotels which you may want to consider (Hotel list PDF). Early booking is advised. Unfortunately, we were not able to secure a number of hotel rooms for participants in a hotel nearby at a reasonable rate. There are however many options from budget to luxury to choose from.
5. Travel and transport logistics
Train: Berlin central station is located opposite Charité Hospital and in 15min. walking distance from the meeting venue.
Air: Berlin Airport BER is located outside the city, but is connected to the central train station near Charité Hospital with an airport train (FEX).
More details on travel and transport will follow in the next meeting announcement in spring.
