TropNet is a European network focused on tropical and travel medicine, established to foster exchange, mutual support and collaboration among centres for tropical medicine and travel health across Europe.
TropNet supports multi-center research projects and improves the quality of data collection through direct patient contact, contributing to better health outcomes.
TropNet members contribute to the improvement of tropical medicine and travel health in Europe and overseas by supporting guildeline development and by publishing policy statements in the field.
TropNet receives no dedicated funding, is a fully independent organization and is driven by the commitment and interest of its members. A steering committee, a research committee and other working groups organize the work within TropNet.

Clinical support
The network supports exchange and mutual support of members on emerging problems in tropical and travel medicine.
Research
The network provides a platform for collaborative research.
Policy and advocacy
The network publishes statements on travel health health topics and contributes to guideline development.
Annual meeting
Once per year, participants from all member sites are invited to a meeting held at one of the TropNet member sites.
Clinical cases
A series of clinical case presentations from TropNet member sites are presented at several occasions per year.
Medicines for rare diseases
The network maintains a list of member sites storing rare and hard-to-procure drugs for diseases.
